Anish
Thanks – Anish & Academy of Irish Music! #irishmusic
Thanks again to our Friday Night headliners, Anish, who gave a very fine account of themselves by playing over two solid hours of songs and tunes. It was nice to see these guys re-creating and adding to the sounds that made them a stalwart in the late 90s and early-mid 2000s. They still bring it!
And also a great big thanks to the young men and women of the Academy of Irish Music, who opened with a beautiful set of their own arrangements for winds and strings.
Tonight! Tickets at Door! ANISH! 4626 N Knox, Chicago. #irishmusic @iahcchicago Should be a great night of tunes and songs!

“ANISH – IAHC – Friday, February 13
“Join us for a great evening of traditional Irish music with Chicago band, ANISH.
Friday, 8:00 – 10:00 PM ANISH is a three piece group from Chicago featuring Aidan O’Toole on guitar and vocals, Chris Bain on fiddle and Jackie Moran on percussion and banjo.
The group plays tunes with a energetic modern flair and mix with contemporary songs treated to a more acoustic organic touch.
Aidan O’Toole hails from Galway City, Ireland, but has called Chicago his home for the past 20 years. Playing with his band Anish, solo shows, as well as his other bands The Muck Brothers and Tin Lynott, he has put his footprint into the Chicago Irish music scene at venues such as Martyrs, Navy Pier, The Curragh, Ballydoyle Pubs, and Celtic Crossing” (pictured are two members of the Club dancing at the first Salon Concert with Chicago Reel in 2013)
